The politico who epitomized what PinstripesandTweed.com called "campaign chic" two years ago was spotted (see picture below) in the final stage of this year's U.S. election.

The boyish-looking fellow, who could otherwise pass for Waldo, has traded in campaign chic this time around for what could be called modern prep.
His knit necktie and button-down collar shirt worn with chinos is classic, but the blazer, which looks more like an orphaned suit jacket, is very modern. Note the kissing buttons on the faux surgeon's cuffs as well as the besom pockets and cropped length of the jacket.
