The other day we highlighted a few gents captured by the PinstripesandTweed.com camera during a visit to Gothenburg, Sweden, last weekend.
Four things stood out to this correspondent during his visit to Sweden:
- The biggest difference was the casual nature of Swedish style. Call it casual chic; not American-style casual with T-shirts and gym shorts.
- Almost no neckties were seen whatsoever. The same for chinos, which have largely been replaced by slim or trim denim jeans.
- Shorts had inseams of six or, at the most, nine inches with most having cuffs. Many of the younger — think collegians — were seen in denim jean cutoffs.
- Most noticeably everything — pants, shirts, jackets — was slim.
