Recommended: Solosso shirts

Editor's note — This is part of a continuing Pinstripes and Tweed series on custom clothing

Solosso may not have the acclaim of other more established brands, but the internet-based shirtmaker exceeded all exceptions and delivered a shirt that fit perfectly on the first try.

While one expects a custom shirtor for that matter even a suitto fit just right, the reality is the first commission is often more of a trial. This is especially the case with the litany of internet-based makers, who typically require customers to measure themselves.

However, that wasn’t the case with Solosso.

The Singapore-based company, founded by Swiss entrepreneurs, has been making shirts since 2009 with prices beginning at approximately $89.

Though made in Thailand, the quality is superb and rivals that of Italian-made Neronote.

Solosso also clearly learned a lesson from the likes of Apple when it comes to the packaging of its offerings, as the shirt arrived in a smart box and even included a wax seal (how cool!).

The bottom line: With its excellent customer service and high-quality shirting, Solosso gets’s recommendation. With its very affordable prices, there’s really no reason to buy that ill-fitting shirt from the department store or high-priced famous brand.
